Margalla Times is committed to accuracy. When we get something wrong, we fix it—fully, promptly and transparently.
How We Handle Errors
Factual errors—incorrect names, dates, figures, quotes or events—are corrected in the original story with a clearly visible correction note at the top of the piece. The note states what was wrong and what the correct information is. We do not simply edit the text and pretend the error did not occur.
Errors of context or framing—where the facts are correct but the impression created is misleading—are addressed with a clarification note, explaining what the story does and does not claim.
Significant errors—where a story contains fundamental inaccuracies that affect its core claims—may result in the story being substantially rewritten or, in rare cases, removed entirely. In either case, a full explanation is published.
Correction Notes
All correction notes carry a date and a plain-language description of what changed and why. They sit at the top of the story—not at the bottom, not hidden in the metadata.
How to Request a Correction
If you believe MT has published inaccurate information, contact us. Please include the story URL, the specific claim you believe is inaccurate and the evidence you are basing this on.
We review every request. We respond to every request. We publish corrections when the evidence warrants it.
We do not remove accurate stories because a subject finds them uncomfortable. Accuracy and discomfort are two different things.
